Giving back to our communities has long been a part of the Cornerstone culture. This spring CGC teams have helped construct an emergency supply shed for a local school district and an outdoor covered play area for a student with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
On a beautiful June Saturday, Paul Frohning and Eric Scott led a group that included Daryl DeVries, Yahaira Garcia, Kevin Clark, Andrew Horsley, Karla Cole, Brandon Gormley and Melissa Castor, as well as several students from the Northshore School District’s Core Plus Construction program.
It was a great day of commeraderie and even a little friendly competition as teams from several other local general contractors built sheds as well.
MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION
In May, a group that included Dan Lampert, Aaron Money, Sam Comer, Blake Swift, Ryan Haye, Tyler Money, Colby Hendrickx, Melissa Castor, team-leader Netza Garcia, Andrew Horsley, Vicki Puckett, Dave Flynn, Aubrey Morris and Jeff James constructed an outdoor covered play area for Aurielle.
Aurielle is a student in the Bethel School District’s special education program. The Make-A-Wish Foundation reached out to Cornerstone and asked for our help to construct Arielle a safe play space in her backyard.
Several of our subcontracting partners also pitched in donating their time and services to grade the area, pour a concrete patio and provide the gazebo materials. We are thankful for their contributions!
