Cornerstone General Contractors, Inc. recently had the opportunity to work on a very special project with Make-A-Wish Alaska & Washington. Seven-year-old Cameron has a compromised immune system which has limited his social interactions and made it difficult to find safe places to play with his friends. After wishing for an outdoor space where he can spend time with others, Cornerstone stepped up to answer the call.
Led by our DEI Director Vicki Puckett, Cornerstone helped provide supplies and coordinate workers to build Cameron a beautiful, covered patio in his yard alongside additional Make-A-Wish partners Red Robin and Costco. Cornerstone even provided safety gear to Cameron so he was properly fitted as the ultimate project manager for the job. Joining him on the site was Cornerstone’s Kurt Belanger, Melissa Castor, Sam Comer, Dave Flynn, Jack Flynn, Steve Horsley, Dylan Judson, Kellen Lewis, Vicki Puckett and Jake Simpson.
Since the patio’s construction, Cameron has been enjoying his new space and outdoor time with his loved ones. We couldn’t be more honored to be a part of this project and demonstrate how much, at Cornerstone, we truly “Care Like Family!”
