Alexander Graham Bell Elementary School is the third project Cornerstone has built for the Lake Washington School District. It featured a new two-story facility of approximately 65,000 square feet. Construction took place in a dense neighborhood setting immediately adjacent to the operating school, requiring careful planning and phasing to protect students and staff. During construction, Cornerstone turned over occupancy of the gym for the second half of the 2012/2013 school year and worked closely with the City of Kirkland to permit partial occupancy of the building, making it possible for the owner to move in contents prior to demolition of the existing school.
